Inspirational Female Photographers

Madame Yvonde is one of the most inspirational women in photography that I have come across. She was working with the color Carbro process in the early 30’s. There are only 2 other known photographers who used this process as it was very complicated and time-consuming. She completely mastered the process and made beautiful prints whose colors hues and tonal qualities remain un-matched by anything of today. She was also the first woman ever to be invited to address the “Professional Photographer’s Association” in England.
